When Tom Cruise was in NP

Jeanette & I watched some of the filming of the Last Samurai in Oct 2003 that was being filmed in our local park. It was great because as long as you stayed quiet you could sit and watch for as long as you liked. If you haven't seen the film yet it's a must - the long shot of the army camp surrounded by huge steps in the hillside is our cricket field in the same park. Where the film's backdrop is a city, it's really part of NP town and the sea.
